How does it work?

Pyrmont Cares collects quality recycled furniture and whitegoods from these inner city areas:

Alexandria, Balmain, Beaconsfield, Birchgrove, Camperdown, Centennial Park, Chippendale, Darlinghurst, Darlington, Dawes Point, Elizabeth Bay, Erskineville, Eveleigh, Forest Lodge, Glebe, Haymarket, Kings Cross, Millers Point, Moore Park, Newtown, Paddington, Potts Point, Pyrmont, Redfern, Rosebery, Rozelle, Rushcutters Bay, Surry Hills, Sydney, The Rocks, Ultimo, Waterloo, Woolloomooloo and Zetland.

You can also look at our collection area map

If we do not collect from your suburb, check the collection area for Generous and Grateful who also recycle furniture to people in need.

What do we collect?

PCI collects furniture and whitegoods for redistribution to our clients.

Currently we particularly need:

chests of drawers; small sofas; small dining tables (2-4 seat)

We don’t collect: mattresses, beds, clothing, soft furnishings, wardrobes, office furniture, large 3 person sofas

For mattress collection and recycling or other goods we cannot redistribute, check the City of Sydney collections or call them 02 9265 9333. Consider selecting a bed retailer that recycles!

We have a limited storage facility and therefore only keep a very small stock -collecting and delivering where possible within the same week.

Do you have a Donation?

Please download and complete the offer form and return it to: ops@pyrmontcares.org.au, together with images of the goods you would like to donate. If we can accept your donation and we can find your goods a new home, we'll arrange to collect it on a Tuesday.
