PCI is entirely run by 60+ volunteers and 100% funded by donations and sponsorship. We receive no aid from the Federal or State government or the City of Sydney. Volunteers commit themselves to drive, move furniture or undertake the admin jobs needed to make all this happen.

Peter founded Pyrmont Cares with John Hoff in January 2012. After retiring from the banking industry, Peter keenly observed an opportunity to help others less fortunate and instigated the collection of good quality discarded furniture to save it from landfill and deliver it directly to those in most need.
